Board Member, Danielle McFarlin
Danielle grew up in a small community on the U.S.- Mexico Border and is committed to bridging resources to her home town and other underserved communities. She spent 20 years working in the Diagnostic Imaging field, has witnessed a heart beating for the first time and has held space for many taking their last breaths, she is currently focused on supporting the healing journey of every moment in between. Danielle spoke at the 2017 TEDxTucson Imagine conference where she was inspired to use her own journey through abuse and disempowerment to create a new framework for viewing the effects on both men and women in our present day "rape culture". She shares her story in hopes of serving as a beacon of hope for those who think their life is irreparable, showing them instead, how, with courageous and deep self-inquiry, they can shine their own light on the path to healing and wholeness. Her work aims to create a safe foundation for those who have kept their stories of abuse and shame buried in the shadows. Danielle is also a published author in Wake Up: A Woman's Guide to Transformation, Prosperity and Health!

Treasurer, Zachary Comegys.
Zachary was born and raised on the Mississippi River. Upon completing the required traditional schooling, Zachary left the midwest in search of new adventures. First landing in New Orleans for a few years and then several more in Athens, Georgia. These experiences pushed him to seek a deeper relationship with the natural world, and at the turn of the century, Zachary headed out west and spent the next two decades living among the Redwood giants of the northern California coast. It is here Zachary met Crystal, and together they founded Living Earth! in order to better understand their places within the web of life. Creating a homestead classroom, Zachary studied and practiced permaculture, biodynamic, biointensive, and organic farming methods.
Over the next decade and a half, during winters, Zachary traveled 5 continents learning traditional and indigenous biologically aligned farming practices. Spiritually conscious connection to land became the center point and focus for all of his projects going forward. Zachary and Crystal added Sekoyah to the family and soon they moved to Oregon to work on a regenerative farm project that would prove many of the lessons learned over the previous decades. Over the next few years the ranch was transformed from a dry, dusty, and depleted environment into a biologically diverse and productive farm oasis.
Zachary and fam came to New Mexico looking for new environments to explore, live within, and cultivate. The Gila called loudly. Zachary continues to find ways to deepen connection to land and all life and remains committed to practicing sacred agriculture, creating biologically dynamic gardens and planting spaces.

Julian began practicing etheric movements a long time ago and integrated a daily practice after studying Taichi at UNM through a Holistic Healing Arts program. He learned Reiki, Kundalini Yoga, Chinese medicine, and Herbology, and continuously deepened his understanding of medicinal plants and fungi, and healing through movement, breath, visualization and sound.

His offerings include Reiki, Alpha Wave healing, Reflexology, Tui-Na, Auricular Acupuncture, Limpias, and many forms of healing based on the South American indigenous tradition as taught by Athena Wolf. Board Member, Charlene Santistevan
Charlene is a devoted student of La Escuela de Curanderismo, answering a calling that has been with her since the late 1990s. With deep ancestral roots in the land and culture of Taos County, New Mexico, and the San Luis Valley of southern Colorado, her path is grounded in tradition, community, and spirit.
Professionally, she has worked in urban and transportation planning with the hope of advancing social justice—an effort that has often proven challenging within political systems. Now, she feels the time has come to more fully immerse herself in a community of healers and spiritual practitioners.
Charlene is currently studying Astrology and Tarot as part of her spiritual journey. She resides in
Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she works as an urban planner with Doña Ana County.

Board Member, Johanna Calderón
is a graduate of La Escuela de Curanderismo. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico, surrounded by the love and care of her extended family. This nurturing environment deeply shaped the compassion and dedication she now shares with others. Some of her fondest childhood memories are the walks around her grandparents’ property, where her grandmother introduced her to the plant world. She remembers listening as her grandmother narrated the history of each plant — how she received it, how to care for it, and how it was used for healing.
Johanna now lives in Florida, where she has a practice as a massage therapist. In her work, she integrates her formal massage therapy training with the wisdom she gained at La Escuela de Curanderismo, along with the ancestral teachings passed down from her grandmother.
